You may have noticed the new Login link on the left menu bar. If you have a MonkeySpeak shell account (and if your browser supports
cookies and SSL encryption), you can now log in and post articles. Comments for articles still don't require accounts, and so are still open to the public.
For more information on accounts and logging in, see the About page.
I get to the "compose" screen fine using my MonkeySpeak account. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHey - monkeyspeak - where the monkeys get to speak.
ReplyDeleteExcellent foresight dude.
Cool. Currently, there are two benefits to logging in if you have an account. 1) It lets you compose articles. 2) If you compose a comment when you're logged in, the "name" and "homepage" fields get useful defaults. In the not too distance future, it will also be possible to edit articles that you've submitted when you're logged in. If we can come up with any other useful things that should be different when you're logged in, things like that are easy to add.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Julian, that was the original intent. Monkey-speak can mean gibberish, which is accurate enough, but it's also a vague reference to the fact that we're all just primates banging on keyboards. Sort of thing.

ReplyDeleteYou say that as if to suggest that something here is already useful. :-P
